Can I order an extra rung?

To promote the safety of young playground users who use ladders, the gap between ladder rungs is deliberately designed to be wider. This design enables children to have more flexibility and range of motion while climbing up or down, thereby reducing the likelihood of injury. Additionally, the gap between the ladder rungs should be wide enough to allow a child's head to pass through in the event of a fall, preventing the risk of strangulation.

To discourage young children from climbing the ladder without assistance, the initial gap between the ground surface and the first ladder rung is made larger. It is important not to encourage children who are unable to climb the ladder by themselves to use the equipment.

Adding an extra rung between the existing ones may compromise the structural integrity of the ladder and create additional safety risks. Therefore, we advise against the installation of extra ladder rungs. If you have any concerns about the safety of a ladder, it is best to seek professional guidance to determine if any modifications are safe and appropriate. As a manufacturer, we do not encourage our customers to add extra ladder rungs.
