Why does Jungle Gym provide ladder rungs instead of steps?

The reason why our climbing frames have ladder rungs instead of steps is for safety purposes. Ladder rungs provide a more secure grip for children's hands and feet compared to steps, which could cause a child to slip or trip.

Ladder rungs are also spaced closer together than steps, making it easier for children to climb up and down without losing their balance. Steps, on the other hand, are typically wider and more spaced out, which could pose a greater risk of injury if a child were to fall.

In addition, ladder rungs discourage children from climbing up the outside of the tower, which could be dangerous if they slip or fall. With ladder rungs, children are more likely to stay inside the tower and use the designated means of access.

Overall, ladder rungs provide a safer and more effective means of access for playground towers, which is why they are commonly used instead.
