What are the guidelines for effectively maintaining the accessories?

Following are the guidelines to follow to keep your accessories attached to the climbing frame well-maintained

- To prolong their lifespan, remove swings and slides and store them inside when the outside temperature is below 32°F/0°C as plastic parts may become brittle.
- Examine that ropes are tight, secure at both ends, and cannot loop back to create an entrapment.
- Check the Rope Locks to be sure they are properly installed onto the Jungle Gym swing hooks. The Rope Locks can be checked by sitting on the accessory with your full body weight.
- Inspect swings for integrity and check ropes for fraying or extreme creation of fiber. To examine the rope, open the strands of the Rope where any fraying has occurred and securely check whether the filaments are broken.
- Examine climbing rocks and hand grips for wear and tear. This should include inspecting used screws and fasteners and examining for sharp edges, breaks, or cracks.
- Check the attachment of the slide to the platform for any opening in which for instance clothing or strings from hooded jackets can get stuck which results in entangling. Examine the integrity of the sliding surface for cracks, sharp scratches, or edges.
